We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Motor Underwriter to be part of the UK Commercial Solutions Team, supporting our trading teams to develop and implement solutions for complex cases and risk profiles.

This role is ideal for someone with high underwriting authority eager to expand their knowledge and segment specialisms, maximising opportunities through market-leading propositions and solutions for individual cases and business blocks, in close collaboration with the Trading and Broker Performance Team.

About the job:

• Assist with Underwriting Strategy, principles, best practices, and processes
• Lead the development of open market propositions for the Mid-Market commercial sector
• Develop and lead a strong Commercial Motor Underwriting capability across trading teams
• Monitor and analyze the performance of the Mid Market Commercial Motor Segment to support SME planning and link to the CUO Team
• Enhance expertise and knowledge across the Commercial Motor Sector

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Experienced Commercial Motor Underwriter with high levels of underwriting authority, interested in expanding knowledge across Property and Liability classes to complement Commercial Motor underwriting expertise
• Understanding of performance issues at the Commercial Segment level for Mid-Market, Scheme, and Small Commercial Business to identify opportunities and threats
• Strong commercial acumen to build and deliver business cases
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills within a large organization
• Good knowledge of risk management applicable to the Commercial Motor Segment
