Our client, a prestigious leader in the aerospace sector, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to enhance their team. This role is crucial for leading project deliveries and contributing towards innovative, energy-efficient solutions that promote a sustainable future.
What You'll Do:
- Apply mechanical and/or systems engineering knowledge throughout product lifecycles.
- Manage stages of system lifecycle including requirements management, validation, systems design, development, integration, verification, and qualification.
- Develop and oversee engineering management plans and tasks.
- Translate stakeholder and customer requirements into comprehensive project solutions.
- Coordinate with suppliers and customers to align project outputs with expectations.
- Ensure system integrity through lifecycle management and maintain traceability of design decisions.
- Support product lifecycle stages to deliver an integrated solution.
- Organise engineering design gate reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones.
- Identify and manage technical risks and opportunities impacting project delivery.
- Engage with engineering leadership and program management to ensure appropriate project resourcing and capability.
- Champion continuous improvement by incorporating effective systems engineering practices.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in project engineering, especially related to aerospace systems.
- Understanding and application of systems engineering practices.
- Experience with requirements management and verification tools, preferably DOORS/CRADLE.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to driving solutions.
- Ability to engage stakeholders effectively and ensure project alignment with strategic objectives.
- Recognised engineering degree or equivalent qualifications with experience in mechanical, electromechanical, or systems product development.
