Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Client Partner who has a proven track record of managing multiple accounts across both established and new clients and is passionate about working in Retail Media with the UK’s largest retailer.
The Tesco Media and Insights platforms’ Client Partner is responsible for a portfolio of key FMCG and/or non-endemic brands, taking a consultative approach to providing Retail Media solutions that drive both performance and brand solutions for advertisers. You will be responsible for meeting and exceeding commercial targets, ensuring client retention by providing solutions across desktop, mobile, programmatic, CRM, and in-store channels, increasing revenue and further accelerating the growth of Retail Media budgets in the UK. Your role will contribute to the long-term sustainable commercial growth of the Tesco Media & Insights platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue goals, pipeline management, and financial oversight of your client accounts, in collaboration with senior client partners.
- Developing growth strategies for your client portfolio, focusing on both new business acquisition and client retention.
- Managing coverage, reporting, and maintaining key relationships with clients, including brand and agency contacts.
- Balancing short-term and long-term client goals through effective account management.
- Providing first-class customer service, maintaining high standards in client interactions.
- Identifying short-term opportunities and building strategic growth plans.
- Using strategic insights to identify growth opportunities for your clients.
- Driving new opportunities through scaled coverage across key stakeholders (Shopper, Brand, Digital, Media, Commerce & Loyalty teams).
- Maintaining deep understanding and expertise of Tesco Media & Insights platform products and roadmaps.
- Challenging client strategies to maximize the role of Tesco Media & Insights platform in delivering meaningful business outcomes.
- Acting as a thought leader in Retail Media, representing industry expertise at events and within your client portfolio.
Qualifications and Experience
- Confidence, ability, and experience to maximize Tesco Media & Insights platform’s growth ambition.
- Passion for Retail Media and Tesco Media & Insights platform products and services.
- Proven ability to proactively build and own client contact networks.
- Track record of developing a strong sales pipeline, forecasting accurately, and exceeding targets in a rapidly growing environment.
- Results-driven, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable in fast-paced settings.
- Good knowledge of brand and performance marketing.
- Ability to understand client needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Successful relationship management skills, both internally and externally.
- Adaptability to change and ability to work in a fast-moving company.
- Team player with collaborative skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any subject.
- Fluent in English.
- At least 2 years of media sales experience within retail media, agency, CPG, or online advertising.
- Digital experience is advantageous.
