The role in a nutshell
As a Junior Designer at Toucan, you will play a key role in the creation of bespoke media content across a diverse portfolio of clients. Your work will focus on producing high-quality design materials specifically tailored for the Amazon Marketplace, ensuring consistency and excellence in every piece. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with an opportunity to stay on based on performance and business needs.
A bit about us:
Toucan is a full-service Amazon agency (based in the UK, NAM & APAC) and an Amazon Advertising Advanced partner that supports brands in accelerating their businesses globally. We specialise in Amazon strategy, Sponsored Advertising, programmatic DSP advertising and content creation (static and video)
We are proud to say that we are working with some of the biggest brands in FMCG, such as grocery, sports nutrition, healthcare, and beauty, just to name a few. We handle Amazon revenue in excess of £100M globally, and this is rapidly growing.
You will be working with a highly motivated, supportive team, and we are eager for an individual to come in with a ‘can-do’ attitude and the desire to learn and add value wherever possible.
Key Responsibilities
You will be:
- Creating and delivering visually compelling design assets for a wide range of blue-chip and FTSE 500 clients.
- Serve as a go-to point of contact for incoming design requests and support queries.
- Design content for Amazon product detail pages (PDPs), brand storefronts, and A+ content based on detailed briefs.
- Contribute to the development of internal marketing materials for Toucan Ecommerce.
- Design engaging content for social media and digital marketing campaigns for our owned brands.
- Collaborate closely with the wider design and account management teams on creative briefs and brainstorming sessions.
Skills/Requirements:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a design-related field, or relevant experience in a similar role.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a range of digital and e-commerce design work.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite—particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Experience with After Effects, Premiere Pro, or Figma is a bonus.
- A strong understanding of visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and digital composition.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment.
