Senior New Business Sales Manager

Roke is currently recruiting a for a New Business/New Logo Sales Professional within its Futures Business Unit. If you have experience in opening New Logos in sectors such as Industrial manufacturing, materials (chemicals, glass, paper, forestry, metals), Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Manufacturing, Rail Industry, Media, Aggrotech, or Information Technology, we would like to hear from you.

The successful applicant will be adept at presenting our existing value propositions to these sectors.

Job Purpose & Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and execute sales growth strategies through direct and partner campaigns.
  • Identify, build, and manage new key clients to maximize revenue and customer value.
  • Align sales and innovation roadmaps with customer priorities.
  • Manage sales, bids, and quotes in line with governance processes.
  • Manage client and partner requirements and expectations.
  • Lead sales and engineering interactions to sell Roke’s services, ensure successful bids, and resolve issues.
  • Lead bids and pre-sales teams to generate proposals and secure new business.
  • Achieve or exceed order and revenue targets.
  • Manage pipeline, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Contribute market intelligence to the CRM ecosystem.
  • Support the development and delivery of the business unit strategy.
  • Collaborate with marketing on lead generation and brand awareness strategies.
  • Develop compelling client propositions.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Experience in direct sales of R&D activities, solutions, services, and emerging products.
  • Knowledge of solution selling methodologies.
  • Ability to develop senior client relationships and account strategies.
  • Understanding of Autonomy, machine vision, AI/ML, data science, and sensing tech.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strategic sales drive.
  • Ability to understand client challenges and provide innovative solutions.
  • Proven ability to qualify opportunities and convert to orders.
  • Experience in planning and delivering winning bids quickly.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of presenting to senior management.
  • Effective team leadership in local and remote environments.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel and stay away from home.
