About the Role

Your focus as a Kitchen Assistant is to support food preparation and maintain a clean environment for the safe production of beverages and meals, ensuring high-quality service to residents.

• Understand the principles of safe food handling to ensure hygiene standards in food preparation.
• Contribute to team work, respond positively to colleagues, and follow work instructions promptly.
• Assist in the supply and quality of items used, ensuring timely and appropriate ordering of replacements.
• Respect the dignity and individuality of each resident when acting towards residents and visitors.

About You

To be successful, you will embody our values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability.

• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high personal hygiene standards.
• Have knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
• Be an efficient worker capable of sustained physical effort and responding to a demanding workload.
• Show initiative and a positive, flexible attitude towards team work.
• Exhibit a caring and understanding attitude towards residents.
