This Canadian-born business founded in 1978 has grown to become a global commercial real estate advisory firm employing 5000 people in 120 locations across 20 countries. This opportunity is for a Senior / Associate level Electrical engineer to join an exciting and successful Building Consultancy team, based in London. You will work on a variety of professional and project work for investors, lenders, occupiers, developers, and the public sector. Their broad client mix offers opportunities for travel around the UK and Europe with exposure to a diverse range of property types. The Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health (MEP) engineering team offers traditional MEP design and consultancy services alongside surveying and project management activities with sustainable solutions at the core of their work. Their expertise spans sectors including office, industrial, retail, education, government, healthcare, aviation, and residential.
As part of their succession plan, they seek an electrically biased building services engineer to support building surveyors in providing engineering consultancy services that complement the building surveying and project management activities. This role is ideal for someone with a background in MEP consulting or design and contracting looking to transition into a corporate real estate environment. Flexible working arrangements from home and office are available, but travel to sites for inspections is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
The candidate should be working towards or have achieved Chartered Engineer status, with relevant professional qualifications (CIBSE, IET, IMechE). A minimum of 5 years' industry experience, capable of working in a team, producing reports, designs, and conducting site inspections, is required. Familiarity with building services installations, technical due diligence, and excellent communication skills are essential.
