London South Bank University are excited to be recruiting for the post of Reception and Customer Service Officer to join our LSBU Active team Sport and Fitness facilities at our Southwark Campus, offering modern facilities and refreshed services for Students, Staff and Community Members.

LSBU Active aims to inspire the development of our students and community through sport and physical activity. You will provide a high quality and customer focussed first point of contact for all customers and visitors to LSBU Active. This will entail welcoming visitors and members, answering all queries, updating memberships and bookings, processing payments and providing a range of administrative support services for the department.

About You:

We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:

  • Experience of providing customer service including the ability to be personable and approachable and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to work as a reliable and enthusiastic team member.
  • Demonstrably clear and effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy including word-processing, spreadsheets and databases. An ability to create well-formatted documents in Excel or Word. Experience of retrieving information from databases.
  • Experience and understanding of office administration and procedures.

You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to handle customer queries confidently. You will be able to work effectively on your own initiative but also as part of a wider team, demonstrating an adaptable and flexible approach particularly during busy times.
