Job description

Finance Apprentice (Level 2/Level 3)

This is a fixed-term contract for 15 months (duration of the apprenticeship).

Apprenticeship pay rates depend on age. Please see the applicable rates below:

Level 2 Apprenticeship Rates:

Under 18 years - £14,874 per annum

18-20 years - £19,600 per annum

21+ years - £23,555 per annum

Level 3 Apprenticeship Rates:

Under 18 years - £15,144 per annum

18-20 years - £19,871 per annum

21+ years - £23,555 per annum

We are seeking two Finance Apprentices to join our finance team. You will work alongside colleagues to provide shared financial support services to the group’s providers while studying towards the AAT Level 2 Certificate, with progression to Level 3 upon successful completion.

• To undertake AAT Level 2, you will require Maths and English Grade 4/C or equivalent.
• To undertake AAT Level 3, you will require AAT Level 2 at Merit or Distinction grade and Maths and English Grade 4/C.

What You Will Do

• Provide a customer-focused, responsive, and quality financial service supporting the finance team in their day-to-day, month-end, and year-end duties.
• Maintain and contribute towards developing the financial control environment by ensuring financial best practices are embedded, fully operated at all times, and documented, including updates to financial policies and regulations.
• Undertake studies towards the successful completion of the AAT Level 2 Certificate and Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.
• Comply with Luminate Education Group Financial Regulations and Procedures and maintain a proactive approach to fraud awareness.
