  • Organising and supervising the unit in accordance with standards, contract specifications, and regulations
  • Managing resources efficiently, including stock, staff, and assets
  • Overseeing food preparation, cooking, and service to meet standards

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing strategic guidance and managing the team effectively
  • Motivating and communicating with management and catering staff, setting clear responsibilities and monitoring performance
  • Taking responsibility for food safety and health and safety procedures
  • Promoting the unit and acting as a Compass Advocate
  • Managing stakeholder relationships
  • Ensuring delivery of client hospitality standards and seeking feedback
  • Innovating and varying the menu to avoid repetition
  • Operating within budget, monitoring trends, and implementing corrective actions
  • Meeting customer expectations
