You will be part of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Platform, focusing on designing and engineering its foundational capabilities. You will work with international scrum teams in the UK, India, or Denmark, collaborating with business and tech colleagues to develop key platform features. WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Software Engineer role requires expertise in systems design, software development, testing, DevOps, security, analytics, and lifecycle management. Responsibilities include:

• Participating in scrum ceremonies, backlog creation, release planning, and estimations.
• Promoting Agile, DevOps/SRE, and DevSecOps practices to ensure high-quality, efficient software delivery.
• Designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, reliable, high-performance, secure microservices following Maersk standards.
• Monitoring critical applications, responding to incidents, analyzing root causes, and implementing solutions following SRE principles.
• Developing reusable code libraries for cross-cutting concerns supporting platform ecosystem growth.
• Supporting hiring processes and team building.
• Collaborating with Product Owners to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Conducting code reviews and pair programming.
• Staying updated on relevant technologies to enhance team capabilities.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Hands-on experience in designing and reviewing high-performance reactive code.
• Experience in building cloud-native, event-driven, scalable distributed systems using .NET, C#, Kafka, ELK Stack, Kubernetes.
• Full stack development experience with HTML, Vue.js.
• Strong database design skills in SQL, NoSQL, and Graph databases like SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, Apache Druid.
• Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, gRPC.
• Proficiency with GitHub/GitLab and testing tools such as SonarQube, xUnit, Postman, Cucumber, Polaris, Blackduck.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and clean architecture principles.
• Understanding of SOLID, 12 Factor App, TDD, BDD, Agile Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design and Event-Driven Microservices Architecture.
• Good documentation skills using Swagger or Markdown.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
