Job Title: CT Radiographer

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland

Reports To: Radiology Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced CT Radiographer to join our team at a hospital in Belfast. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine CT scans using mobile Siemens equipment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, patient care, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals. The position can be either permanent or locum, with the possibility of long working days.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform CT Scans: Conduct routine CT scans using mobile equipment, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
• Patient Preparation and Care: Prepare and position patients for CT scans, explain the process, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
• Operate Mobile Siemens Equipment: Utilize and maintain mobile Siemens CT scanners, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Image Quality Assurance: Review and assess CT images for clarity and diagnostic value, retaking images if necessary to achieve optimal results.
• Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of mobile Siemens CT equipment, reporting any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
• Continuing Education: Stay updated on advances in CT imaging technology and techniques through ongoing education and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
• Certification: Certification by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous experience with mobile Siemens CT equipment and routine CT scans is required.
• Skills: Strong technical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
