KEY RESULT AREAS / MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead by example in setting high personal work standards and collaborate effectively as part of a team to ensure quality.
- Advise and assist junior staff within the CT team, sharing knowledge and experience.
- Perform CT scans at Antrim Hospital and other locations within the Northern Trust, including mobile units if necessary.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with relevant individuals and groups to support continuous quality improvement.
- Ensure personal work quality aligns with performance and departmental standards, while adhering to Radiation Protection rules at all times.
- Observe and comply with IR(ME)R (NI) 2018 regulations, including pregnancy, 10/28-day rules, and local safety rules.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of Radiation policies, focusing on justification and identification processes under IR(ME)R (NI) 2018.
- Familiarize and comply with relevant health and safety regulations, departmental standards, and professional codes of conduct.
- Maintain equipment properly, report malfunctions, and ensure safety standards are met.
- Prioritize patient care, focusing on radiation safety, dosage, and treating each patient with courtesy and confidentiality.
- Participate in postgraduate courses and in-service training for ongoing professional development.
- Contribute to out-of-hours emergency services and be flexible with work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Participate in research and departmental audit programs as required.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Departmental Manager.

RECORDS MANAGEMENT
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in General Diagnostic Radiography.
- Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
- Current HCPC registration as a Radiographer.
- Qualification in IV cannulation or willingness to train.
- PgCert/Diploma in CT or willingness to train.
Other:
Hold a valid UK driving license and have access to a car, unless disability prohibits driving, in which case an approved alternative is required.
Skills / Abilities:
- Ability to lead a team effectively.
- Capability to prioritize and manage workloads.
Knowledge:
- Understanding of the role of a Radiographer in CT imaging.
- Knowledge of relevant standards and IR(ME)R (NI) 2018 regulations.
- Awareness of current trends in imaging services.
