At Regions, the Treasury Manager is responsible for managing effectiveness in a designated area within Corporate Treasury, including: Strategic Planning, Funding/Liquidity Management, Balance Sheet Strategic Management, Asset/Liability Management, Debt and Capital Management, Profitability Measurement and Analysis, Investment Portfolio Management and Trading, Fixed-Income Derivatives Management, Balance Sheet Valuation/Pricing, Interest Rate Risk Modeling and Hedging, Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), Capital/Liquidity Stress Testing, Balance Sheet Analytics/Modeling, Economic Analysis/Modeling, Economic/Risk Capital, Financial Risk Management, Capital Planning, Financial Regulation and Accounting. This position contributes to the development of strategy and direction, as well as cross-functional execution.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Leads a team or function area in the coordination and execution of work product in designated area
  2. Develops ideation for areas of strategic importance to drive continuous improvement and overall effectiveness (e.g., financial performance)
  3. Communicates to all organizational levels information regarding treasury and/or financial topics and industry developments
  4. Manages complex processes involving economics, finance, markets, technology, data, and models
  5. Derives actionable insights, develops recommendations, and executes next steps regarding financial and risk management interests
  6. Maintains knowledge of environmental conditions impacting strategy (e.g., market, regulatory, technological changes) and incorporates this into practical actions and recommendations
  7. Develops and assigns team members for specific projects and manages resource deployment
  8. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to operational challenges
  9. Provides guidance and training to teams and contributes to technical skill development

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field with eight (8) years of relevant experience, including supervisory/management experience
  • Or Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field with six (6) years of relevant experience, including supervisory/management experience

Preferences

  • Experience with financial markets, modeling, forecasting, and analysis
  • Experience with Treasury responsibilities
  • Experience with technical software, data mining, MIS, and programming languages (e.g., Bloomberg, Blackrock, Python, SAS, SQL, PowerBI, Qlik)

The Senior Liquidity Manager is responsible for overseeing the bank’s liquidity risk framework, ensuring adequate funding, and optimizing cash and balance sheet resources in line with regulatory and strategic goals. This role requires expertise in liquidity risk, cash flow forecasting, regulatory compliance, and leadership to guide decision-making at a large regional U.S. bank.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing liquidity in complex banking environments, working with cross-functional teams, and engaging with regulators. Responsibilities include monitoring, assessing, and reporting on liquidity risk, and developing strategies to improve funding efficiency and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

Liquidity Risk Management & Monitoring:

  • Lead the bank’s liquidity risk management framework, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations (e.g., Reg YY, FR 2052a)
  • Monitor and manage liquidity position, funding sources, and cash flow
  • Maintain and update liquidity policies and contingency plans
  • Identify and mitigate liquidity risks with proactive solutions
  • Oversee daily and intraday liquidity reporting
  • Serve as the point person for Liquidity Risk Management Committee
  • Maintain familiarity with analytical and control systems for liquidity data

Balance Sheet & Funding Optimization:

  • Develop strategies for funding management and asset/liability optimization
  • Assist in collateral management and funding channels
  • Build and report on balance sheet forecasts
  • Maintain relationships with external funding counterparties
  • Collaborate with Treasury, Risk, and Finance teams

Regulatory Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure adherence to liquidity regulations and prepare required reports
  • Engage with regulators and auditors
  • Maintain policies aligned with evolving regulations

This position is onsite, with regular work hours, including in-office days as scheduled. Regions does not provide relocation assistance; relocation is at your expense.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are based on market data and vary by experience, skills, location, and performance. The target salary range for this role is:

  • Minimum: $130,002.40 USD
  • 50th Percentile: $184,380.00 USD

This role is eligible for annual discretionary incentives and Long Term Incentive Plans.
