We are looking for a Mechanical Designer in the Stockport Area! Our client is a well-established M&E contractor based in Stockport, known for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical solutions across commercial fit out projects nationwide. With a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for technical excellence, they're now looking for a skilled and detail-driven Mechanical Designer to join their growing design team.

As the Mechanical Designer, you'll play a key role in delivering innovative and compliant mechanical systems across a variety of commercial environments. You'll work closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to turn concepts into fully coordinated technical designs that are ready for construction.

What You'll Do:

1. Create detailed mechanical designs (HVAC, public health, etc.) using AutoCAD and Revit.
2. Interpret project briefs, specifications, and technical drawings.
3. Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure fully coordinated designs.
4. Prepare drawings, schematics, schedules, and technical documentation.
5. Attend site surveys and design meetings when required.
6. Ensure designs comply with current regulations, standards, and client requirements.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in mechanical building services design, ideally in commercial fit out.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; Revit experience highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of UK building regulations and CIBSE guidelines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
• HNC/HND or degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
