Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
Type: Permanent

Our client, a manufacturer of specialist products across various sectors, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a permanent role in the Stockport area. The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree, HNC, HND, BTEC, or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as Creo, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc.
• Strong theoretical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and tight tolerances
• The ability to work independently and in a small, multidisciplinary team
• Capability to perform mechanical calculations
• Proficiency in MS Office

The role involves:

• Collaborating with the engineering team and other Design Engineers
• Creating 3D designs using SolidWorks and 2D drawings with AutoCAD
• Participating in the final assembly of products
• Preparing design documentation and project reports/plans
• Updating 3D models and drawings
• Working on various projects within a small team
