Test Engineer - Groundbreaking 3D visualisation

Edinburgh City Centre Hybrid (3 office days per week)

A cutting-edge product company with groundbreaking technology platforms that push at the boundary of how we can visualise, engage with, and experience data are looking for a new QA/Tester to join their Edinburgh based team.

You will be joining a world-class group of engineers, at a company benefitting from significant investment, and all in an environment where innovation, experimentation, and pushing the envelope are priorities.

This is a brand new position within the company, in which you will be the ‘gatekeeper’ for testing, getting under the skin of a unique, one-of-a-kind product, and leading the design of test matrixes, strategies and execution.

The position is primarily a manual role in its focus – for somebody excited about trying to pull apart, break and re-make a super cool product. The development team follow agile methodologies under the guidance of a vastly experience Software Project Manager, and highly talented CTO.

In this role, you will:

• Define acceptance criteria for early-stage test plans
• Carry out exploratory, functional, and end-to-end testing
• Work closely with development teams
• Become a ‘subject matter expert’ for the key product
• Work to identify bugs and carry out bug fixes
• Some opportunity to work on automated testing (Playwright)

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience in a small product tech company/start-up
• Be adaptable, and able to work to loosely defined requirements
• Be passionate about innovation and emerging technology
• Have a product-oriented mindset
• Be experienced across all areas of manual testing
