The Role

As a Vehicle Maintainer, you'll work within a highly effective team, maintaining a variety of military vehicles such as Land Rovers, MAN SVs, and aircraft refuellers to ensure Army operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities
  1. General vehicle maintenance and servicing duties
  2. Undertake driving tasks, appropriate to licenses held, supporting the MoD's AACen Task and Babcock's Hades Contract
  3. Support other trades as part of the MoD team
  4. Maintain aircraft refuelling/Oshkosh and aircraft towing tractors at the Army Aviation Centre, Middle Wallop
  5. Ensure quality service delivery by understanding customer needs and contractual requirements

Note: The successful candidate will be required to pass a medical questionnaire and/or examination.

Location & Hours

Based onsite at RAF Middle Wallop, near Stockbridge, working an average of 37.5 hours per week.

Essential Experience
  • Engineering experience (REME Class 2 NVQ Level 3 or Civilian equivalent, such as City & Guilds)
  • Experience with aircraft refuelling/Oshkosh and military vehicles, understanding MoD practices and procedures, including JAMES system (beneficial)
Qualifications
  • CAT B licence
  • Cat C+E Licence or willingness to train
  • ADR qualification or willingness to train
Security Clearance

Must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS security clearance. Eligibility may be affected by nationality, citizenship, or residency.
