Job Description:

• Lead the project to build end-to-end views of our control environment to illustrate key risks, controls, and processes that impact group financial statements.
• Understand and guide the teams on implementation of the requirements as per the UK Corporate Governance Code.
• Build a testing programme to independently assess controls, identify gaps, and implement remediation plans.
• Support and challenge the group finance teams on their journey to evolve and mature our risk and control environment.
• Partner with finance and non-finance teams as needed to address risks and controls related to financial reporting.
• Ensure all control remediation, internal and external audit actions are completed on time and are adequate to mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including finance teams, Risk, and Internal Audit, to establish standards, policies, and develop KRIs for risk monitoring.

A bit about you:

• You hold a professional finance qualification such as ACA, CPA, ACCA, or CIA, with proven post-qualification experience. Knowledge of IFRS, accounting concepts, and internal controls is essential.
• You have experience leading and managing audit teams, preferably within Financial Services.
• You are proactive, responsible, and solution-oriented.
• You possess commercial acumen, understanding the importance of balancing risk and controls to support business growth.
• You work well in multicultural teams and can influence others effectively.
• You are eager to learn and understand how a FinTech and a rapidly growing company operate.
