Job Description

The Website Manager oversees and maintains Parkwood Leisure's portfolio of websites, including a headless CMS and WordPress instances. Responsibilities include ensuring functionality, updates, security, user experience, and performance enhancements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Maintenance
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring security and proper functioning.
    • Maintain API integrations and ensure all plugins and payment gateways are up to date and secure.
  2. Performance Optimisation
    • Monitor website performance using tools like Google Analytics 4, Google Console, and Semrush.
    • Optimize API connections and website integrations.
  3. Security
    • Protect websites from threats and vulnerabilities with appropriate security measures.
    • Keep all plugins updated.
  4. Website Design and Development
    • Collaborate with stakeholders and third-party developers to meet functional and design requirements.
    • Implement data-driven improvements.
  5. SEO and Analytics
    • Work with SEO agencies to enhance website visibility.
    • Utilize analytics to inform stakeholders.
  6. Stakeholder Management and Collaboration
    • Coordinate with third-party developers, provide CMS and WordPress training, and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Travel across the UK for supplier meetings and site visits.
  7. Documentation
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation for integrations and configurations.
  8. User Experience (UX)
    • Ensure websites are user-friendly and easy to navigate, with evolving customer journeys.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Marketing, or related field.
  • Experience with multiple systems in complex organizations, API integrations.
  • Experience with CMS platforms like Magnolia and managing WordPress sites.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, UX, Google Analytics 4, Google Console, and SEO tools like Semrush.
  • Strong communication skills and project management experience using agile methodologies.
