HSBC, the largest bank in Europe, provides technology solutions for its Global Banking and Markets business. MSS IT is working on a multi-year program to replace legacy applications in Asset Services IT, involving front to back systems across Asset Classes within Markets and Security Services IT. We are seeking a senior Corporate Actions Technical SME to manage the end-to-end delivery of this program.

Responsibilities:
  1. Design, develop, implement, automate, and maintain the Asset Services IT platform.
  2. Conduct pre-production acceptance testing.
  3. Contribute to architecture and process improvements.
  4. Ensure system compliance with cybersecurity standards and upgrades.
  5. Manage build, release, and configuration of production systems.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve issues across platforms and applications.
  7. Maintain operational support and ensure minimal disruption.
  8. Adhere to internal policies, control standards, and regulatory requirements.
  9. Manage support for business users and act as the local SPOC for IT support.
Requirements:
  1. Extensive IT experience in coding, project, and program management.
  2. Core Java experience.
  3. Program/support management experience.
  4. Knowledge of workflows such as data sourcing, trade booking, and settlement.
  5. Understanding of operations workflows.
  6. Investment banking knowledge.
  7. Experience with Fixed Income applications is beneficial.

This role is based in Sheffield with hybrid working options.
