Salary: £30,911 - £32,843 plus £5,385 London Allowance per annum

A 1-year Research Technician position is available at the MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences (LMS) within the Cell Cycle Control group led by Dr. Alexis Barr. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with Broken String Biosciences. LMS is one of three MRC research institutes with close links to Imperial College London and the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative technician with a background in Medical Biosciences. The successful candidate will participate in experiments focused on understanding DNA damage and repair during cellular quiescence. Responsibilities include supporting cell treatment and preparation for DNA break analysis, as well as analyzing genomic sequencing data to map DNA break sites.
You should have a BSc (or equivalent experience) in Medical Biosciences or a related field. Essential experience includes human cell culture, transfection, and cell sorting. A keen interest in learning bioinformatic approaches for genomic analysis is desirable. The ideal candidate will demonstrate motivation and drive to conduct complex research projects.
