Our Insights team is looking to recruit an experienced Health Economist with the passion and drive to support South London’s health and care organisations to deliver positive change through innovation.

The award-winning HIN is a vibrant and exciting place to work. We are hosted by Guy’s and St Thomas’s NHS Foundation Trust, so staff enjoy the benefits of being part of the NHS family. Our office is based near Waterloo/Westminster stations, and we offer great health and wellbeing support including yoga, a book club, lunchtime walks, and regular social events. Our HIN Academy provides fantastic training to upskill staff to work collaboratively across the system. We also offer regular opportunities for staff to work from home.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of key projects at the HIN, working with colleagues in health and care organisations across south London.

We are looking for someone with excellent quantitative and interpersonal skills, who has a track record of conducting health economic evaluations. Experience in building user-friendly health economic models, conducting systematic literature reviews, and writing reports summarising analyses would be particularly advantageous.

Assessment and Interview Dates:

  1. Quantitative assessment: Friday 20th June or Monday 23rd June
  2. Face-to-face interviews: Wednesday 25th June

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Understands key methodological frameworks in health economics
  • Has a track record of conducting health economic evaluations, adopting different perspectives, and building user-friendly economic models
  • Works well as part of a team and can balance priorities across multiple projects in a busy programme
  • Can develop close working relationships with key stakeholders at partner organisations
  • Is confident in presenting findings to various audiences
  • Has experience in bid preparation and report writing

About the Health Innovation Network:

The Health Innovation Network (HIN) South London is dedicated to connecting academics, NHS commissioners and providers, local authorities, patients, and industry to accelerate innovation adoption using an evidence-based approach across large populations. We work across various health and care services, transforming care in areas such as diabetes, cardiometabolic disease, mental health, community settings, and social care, while also promoting digital health and education.

The HIN aims to mobilise the NHS's value as an economic asset to the UK economy, supporting NHS innovators and companies to realise the commercial and economic potential of their innovations.

As part of our adaptable working principles, the successful candidate may operate across other themes and projects to enhance their skills and expertise.
