Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Are you interested in becoming a teacher or gaining valuable classroom experience before undertaking teacher training? If so, this Cover Supervisor opportunity is perfect for you!

Academics LTD collaborates with numerous excellent secondary schools in and around the Oxford area, currently recruiting for Cover Supervisors to start in September 2024. We seek proactive, hardworking, and enthusiastic individuals to oversee lessons and support student learning, while maintaining the school's high standards for behaviour in the absence of teachers.

This role is ideal for candidates with previous experience in the education sector or those aspiring to start a career in education. It is also a great opportunity for graduates looking to take their first step into teaching. (GCSEs in Maths or English (C or above) are required). There are also extensive opportunities to support SEN children for those interested or passionate about this area.

Main Responsibilities of the Cover Supervisor:

1. Manage student behaviour to ensure a constructive learning environment
2. Oversee the work set by the class teacher
3. Act as a role model and develop positive relationships with students and staff
