Job Description

Note: This role requires flexibility with start times from 7:00 AM to 4:45 PM, including weekend shifts. We currently have 5 full-time positions, with at least one weekend day included in the working pattern, to be agreed upon with the successful candidate.

Overview of the Role

This operational role involves supervising work groups of offenders on community sentences, including transporting people or equipment. Responsibilities include site supervision, ensuring tasks are completed to high standards, and working alongside offenders to demonstrate good practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Pre-Placement Unpaid Work Inductions.
  • Lead daily safety and motivation talks.
  • Follow work directions and ensure Health & Safety procedures are adhered to.
  • Conduct dynamic risk assessments and manage hazards.
  • Use motivational techniques to promote discipline and completion of tasks.
  • Monitor attendance and promote successful completion of placements.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service improvement.
  • Work towards vocational assessments and promote Community Payback initiatives.
Additional Requirements

Demonstrate commitment to equality and inclusion, handle sensitive information responsibly, and be able to communicate confidently in English (or Welsh in Wales).
