Job description

We are looking for a qualified member of staff to help recruit Oncology patients to a wide range of commercial and non-commercial research trials within a long established research team.

Position Details
  1. Start Level: Band 5, with a 12-month development program.
  2. Progression: Upon successful completion of training, progress to Band 6.
About the Team

The Oncology research team is committed to delivering high-quality clinical research, working closely with multidisciplinary and frontline clinical staff. Team members manage their own portfolio of trials with support from experienced senior staff, promoting autonomous working in a supportive environment. The team values staff development and views research as a core activity of our Trust, known nationally for innovation in clinical research delivery.

Role Responsibilities
  • Deliver novel chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments in our dedicated research treatment room, requiring prior oncology experience.
  • Receive training in research trial management according to GCP principles.
  • Initially work as a study coordinator under supervision, with autonomy to manage own trials after training completion.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to innovative patient recruitment strategies.
