Job summary
THIS IS A PERMANENT, FULL-TIME POST.
The department of Nuclear Medicine at Singleton Hospital (part of Swansea Bay University Health Board) is a busy academic imaging department operating two diagnostic state-of-the-art SPECT/CT cameras, two bone densitometry (DXA) scanners, a brand new, purpose-built radio pharmacy, a therapy section, and a mobile PET/CT service. Singleton Hospital is situated next to the sea in Swansea and is adjacent to the Singleton University campus.
We are seeking an exceptionally motivated individual to join our friendly and dynamic team. In return, we offer structured mentoring and staff development strategies. The post holder will contribute to the smooth running of the Nuclear Medicine Reception Offices, especially the bone densitometry service reception, and will handle clerical and administrative tasks related to Nuclear Medicine. Providing patient support and ensuring their welfare during their visits is also essential.
Main duties of the jobNuclear Medicine provides Radiopharmaceuticals, Diagnostic Investigations, Radionuclide Therapy, PET/CT, and DXA scans to patients in the South West Wales Area.
The post holder will be part of a skilled team supporting the diagnostic and DXA services, acting as the initial contact point in the patient journey within Nuclear Medicine. Responsibilities include ensuring the efficient operation of the reception offices, managing patient data entry with confidentiality, and liaising with technical, nursing staff, and patients to schedule appointments effectively.
Proficiency in Welsh is desirable; applications from English and Welsh speakers are equally welcome.
