Job description

Job Title: Administrative Support in Nuclear Medicine

This is a permanent, full-time position within the Nuclear Medicine department at Singleton Hospital, Swansea Bay University Health Board. The department operates advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services, including SPECT/CT, DXA, PET/CT, and radionuclide therapy.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will join a friendly, dynamic team and contribute to the efficient running of the Nuclear Medicine Reception Offices, particularly the bone densitometry service. Responsibilities include clerical and administrative duties, supporting patient welfare, and ensuring smooth operations within the department.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage patient appointments and data entry, maintaining confidentiality.
  2. Liaise with technical, nursing staff, and patients to facilitate services.
  3. Provide clerical, administrative, and healthcare support related to DXA and other Nuclear Medicine services.
  4. Support the initial patient contact and ongoing service delivery.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive data responsibly.
  • Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential.
