The University of Surrey Campus Services Catering owns and manages its own in-house campus catering outlets and conference services.
The catering facilities include several restaurants, coffee shops, and bar services, serving a range of menu choices and beverage offerings, including all internal and external event catering. We currently have a Catering and Events Supervisor to support our internal and external event catering, which requires the role to work campus-wide. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who would like to progress further in their catering career.
The Catering and Events Supervisor will support with allocating correct staffing for events, ensuring staff are in the right place at the right time, as well as leading, motivating, and training the team in line with our standards. The Event Host will be responsible for ensuring product standards are delivered in a timely, efficient manner, and to the correct quality and specification. They will also be responsible for food safety throughout the event.
This is a 7-day-a-week operation, with some evening work. We are looking for someone who has a passion for excellent service and enjoys working in a busy and vibrant environment. Some prior experience in a supervisory role within a catering setting would be beneficial, but full training will be provided.
