The Role:

Cover Supervisors are responsible for managing groups of approximately 30 students independently, delivering work set to a high standard, and addressing student questions regarding the tasks.

You Will Be Expected To

• Provide cover for registration
• Deliver lessons with minimal preparation, sometimes at short notice
• Create a positive learning environment, applying the school's behaviour policies consistently
• Support students' self-esteem through positive interactions and encouragement
• Assist with the development and implementation of SEN support plans

Person Specification:

Specific Knowledge, Experience And Technical Skills

• Hold a degree or be an aspiring teacher
• Interest in and knowledge of autism
• Experience managing distressed behaviours
• Ability to solve problems quickly and stay calm
• Basic IT skills (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
