We are looking for a passionate and skilled Data & AI Solutions Architect (Pre-Sales) to join our team and help design & sell cutting-edge solutions to our public & private sector customers.
Job Summary:
As a Data & AI Solutions Architect, you’ll represent Data & AI Service Line and will play a key role in driving the success of our Pre-Sales activities. Reporting to the ‘UK Data Service Line Lead’, you’ll be working closely with our existing clients/new prospects to identify opportunities where data and AI technologies can deliver tangible value and generate revenue for the organisation. You will leverage your deep technical expertise in modern data platforms, such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric, along with your customer-facing skills to consult, design, and implement advanced data solutions. You will also assist in crafting proposals and presenting technical solutions to both technical and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and craft compelling data & AI solutions.
- Conduct technical workshops/basecamp sessions, product demos, and presentations to potential clients, showcasing our expertise in modern data platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric & other cloud native offerings
- Develop detailed solution architectures, high-level designs, and proof-of-concept prototypes.
- Contribute to our offshore based Practice with valuable inputs and technical recommendations on solution accelerators & in-house data products
- Prepare and deliver presentations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, effectively communicating the benefits and technical approach of proposed solutions.
- Engage in the RFP/RFI/Tender process (especially in public sector), preparing responses and participating in customer meetings to ensure accurate and competitive technical proposals.
- Customer Engagement & Relationship Management:
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients by providing strategic insights into data and AI technologies, identifying areas for transformation and growth.
- Lead customer workshops and discussions to define the scope and objectives of data & AI initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, ensuring successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Understand client pain points and business needs, and tailor solutions to meet their specific requirements.
- Solution Design & Consulting:
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver data and AI solutions that leverage niche technologies
- Oversee the implementation of data pipelines, cloud data architectures, data lakes, and AI/ML models, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Support clients in deploying and operationalizing data & AI solutions, ensuring they derive maximum value from their investments.
- Thought Leadership & Market Insight:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the data and AI space.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, best practices, and thought leadership by writing articles, whitepapers, and blogs on emerging technologies.
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and webinars to increase our visibility and establish thought leadership.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data & AI solution delivery, with a strong focus on pre-sales and customer-facing roles.
- Proven experience working with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, or similar technologies.
- Expertise in cloud data architectures (Lakehouse, Hub & Spoke, Data Mesh etc.), data lakes, and big data platforms.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies, frameworks, and model deployment.
- Strong understanding of data integration, data governance, and security best practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
- Proven track record of driving pre-sales activities, including leading technical discussions, solution design, and proposal creation.
- Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships, managing expectations and ensuring customer success.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience in cloud data architecture.
- Expertise in SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages relevant to data engineering and AI/ML applications.
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data ingestion frameworks, and data modelling.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a creative and strategic mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Self-driven, proactive, and highly organized.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Databricks Certified Associate, Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, etc.) are a plus.
