The Role

As a Modern Workplace Application Engineer, you will join the Digital Enterprise Services Product team to provide support and expertise in delivering reactive, planned, and requested activities. Your goal is to maintain high-quality services for our customers.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Product Owner, Principal Engineer, and Group Head of Digital Enterprise Services in delivering IT services to QinetiQ.
• Providing operational support during incident and problem management activities related to your area of expertise.
• Developing, planning, and assisting in deploying new technologies and enhancements to existing services.
• Maintaining support documentation and updating configuration records for all managed and supported services.
• Identifying and developing methods to improve security and data privacy, including analysis and remedial work during security incidents.

This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, based in Farnborough, with flexible working options.

Essential experience:

• Experience with enterprise-level IT systems in application support.
• Experience maintaining consistent configurations using Config as Code and rigorous standards.
• Strong experience with end-user computing.
