£35,000 – £40,000 per year (Negotiable, depending on experience)

Join a Friendly, Professional Club with a Passion for Food and Service

We’re looking for a talented Head Chef to lead our kitchen and deliver high-quality, seasonal food in a welcoming and community-focused Club environment.

You’ll be responsible for day-to-day kitchen operations, menu planning, food preparation, budgeting, stock control, and team management. This is a hands-on leadership role with the opportunity to put your own stamp on the kitchen and contribute to the Club’s growing reputation for excellent food and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver fresh, seasonal menus within budget
  • Lead a small kitchen team with a focus on quality and consistency
  • Oversee food prep, service, cleaning, and stock control
  • Train, motivate, and manage kitchen staff
  • Maintain high hygiene, food safety, and health & safety standards
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Club Secretary
  • Ensure a positive experience for all members, guests, and visitors

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef
  • Great people and kitchen management skills
  • Calm under pressure and organised in a busy environment
  • Understanding of food costings and financial targets
  • Food Hygiene and Health & Safety qualifications
  • A passion for good food and excellent service
