Responsibilities
  • Independently performs Electrical Engineering activities for all phases of electrical development and equipment design for projects of moderate size and complexity.
  • Must be fully competent in conventional electrical engineering aspects and exercise independent judgment in evaluating, selecting, and adapting design criteria, methods, and procedures.
  • Review work done by less experienced engineers periodically.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering or equivalent knowledge/experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer with the ability to obtain licenses in multiple states (NCEES certified or willing to obtain certification).
  • Familiarity with power system modeling and analysis software (e.g., SKM, ETAP).
  • Experience in layout, analysis, and design of electrical scope for industrial projects.
  • Ability to design electrical documentation: equipment specifications, electrical plans, schematics, and calculations.
  • Understanding of core design basis documentation (P&IDs, general arrangements, equipment lists).
  • Proficient in developing specifications for MCCs, switchgear, and VFDs.
  • Leadership skills to guide small teams of designers and junior engineers.
  • Experience in quality checking electrical engineering work.
  • Ability to resolve technical design conflicts.
  • Proficiency with software including AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Word, SKM/ETAP.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Strong knowledge in electrical engineering design and project execution.
  • Familiarity with electrical design software like AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
