Job description

EFAB Industrial Solutions, a leading Engineering Construction business based in Immingham, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join their successful team.

The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for delivering technical solutions across various projects and technical areas. They will guide and review the work of junior Engineers, ensuring tasks are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with all relevant Engineering and Company procedures.

The role requires proactive identification of optimal technical solutions for each project, along with suggestions for improvements that could enhance time efficiency, reduce costs, or improve safety. The Senior Process Engineer should stay updated with current practices and developments in their technical area, and communicate new technologies, innovations, or legislative changes to the company. They will also support the development of company policies and procedures and identify new tools, software, or processes to increase technical delivery efficiency.

The candidate must demonstrate comprehensive understanding and adherence to all relevant Engineering Procedures, Policies, and Standards, along with their practical application.

Accountabilities

1. Design of Pressure Relief Venting Systems
2. Development of Equipment and Line Lists
3. Hydraulic and Pressure Drop Calculations, Mass and Energy Balances, Pump Sizing
4. Utility Balance and Consumption Analysis
5. Preparation of Process Datasheets for Equipment and Instruments, and development of P&ID and Process Flow Diagrams
6. Application of Equipment Sizing Methods and Process Modelling Tools like PEL, Aspen, Hysis, Flarenet
7. Design and Specification of Pressure Relief Systems, Relief Valves, and Bursting Discs
8. Design of Steam and Condensate Systems, Control Valve and Restriction Orifice Sizing
9. Preparation of Technical Specifications for third-party design
10. Knowledge of relevant Codes and Standards
11. Hazardous Area Classification and DSEAR compliance
12. Development of Process Control and Operating Philosophies
13. Design of Trip, Interlock, and Alarm Schedules
14. SIL Determination including Risk, Graph, and LOPA analyses
15. Preparation of Environmental Impact Statements and compliance with Environmental Legislation/EIA
16. Fire and Explosion Analysis, Fire Design, and related reports
17. Materials of Construction and Solids Handling considerations
18. Leadership in Hazard & LOPA Studies
19. Design and commissioning of combustion processes

Technical Requirements

• Proficiency with electronic tools and software relevant to the role
• Understanding of applicable legislation and standards, and their practical application
• Familiarity with company policies, processes, and procedures
