Project Manager - Energy Services

Role overview:

The Project Manager will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of projects, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction. This includes overseeing all elements of the contract lifecycle, from procurement and people management to cost control and health and safety compliance. The focus will be on delivering decarbonisation retrofit projects, including renewable construction and energy efficiency systems installation in social housing across London.

Duties & responsibilities:
  1. Manage the daily operations of projects, ensuring overall responsibility for successful delivery.
  2. Maintain client satisfaction and engagement throughout project lifecycle.
  3. Control all aspects of the contract, including people management, project delivery, procurement, subcontractors, supply chain, design, cost control, client liaison, and health and safety.
  4. Manage subcontractors to optimize performance against KPIs, minimize penalties, and ensure high customer service standards.
  5. Negotiate with clients to meet and exceed expectations.
  6. Develop and maintain on-site relationships and new client relationships; understand and implement design briefs to meet client requirements.
  7. Ensure project milestones and critical deadlines are met.
  8. Ensure compliance with current legislation.
  9. Monitor workflows and staff resources effectively.
  10. Maintain accurate records.
  11. Ensure subcontracted works adhere to quotations and specifications.
  12. Engage regularly with tenants, leaseholders, contractors, clients, and agents to ensure clear communication and issue resolution.
  13. Develop work programmes to meet deadlines and avoid penalties.
  14. Ensure all works follow Sureserve procedures.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Proven project management experience with a track record of delivering programmes and targets.
  • Strong management and technical skills.
  • Understanding of project targets with an empathetic approach to clients.
  • Experience in supply chain management and large project delivery.
  • Proficiency with computerised systems.
Qualifications:
  • Prince2 Project Management certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • SMSTS 5-day course.
  • Valid First Aider certification.
  • Asbestos Awareness Course.
  • CISRS Scaffold Inspection Certificate.
  • UK Driving Licence.
