Qualifications

Project Manager - Energy Services

We're currently seeking a Project Manager who shares our commitment to quality, service, and environmental improvement.

Role overview:

The Project Manager will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of projects, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction. This dynamic role involves overseeing all elements of the contract lifecycle, from procurement and people management to cost control and health and safety compliance. Key responsibilities include delivering decarbonisation retrofit projects from assessment through to completion, including renewable construction and the installation of energy efficiency systems in social housing properties across London.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of projects, with overall responsibility.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and involvement.
  • Control all elements of the contract, including people management, project delivery, procurement, sub-contractors, supply chain, design, cost control, client liaison, and health and safety.
  • Manage sub-contractors to maximize contract performance against KPIs, minimize default notices and penalties, and ensure high levels of customer service.
  • Negotiate with external clients to ensure expectations are fully met.
  • Manage on-site relationships and develop new client relationships; understand and implement design briefs, with the ability to meet and deliver client requirements.
  • Maintain project target dates and the critical path.
  • Ensure works are carried out within current legislation.
  • Monitor and control workflows and staff resources effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure subcontract works are carried out according to quotations and specifications.
  • Liaise regularly with tenants, leaseholders, contractor partners, clients, and agents to ensure clear communication and resolve issues promptly, fostering strong professional relationships.
  • Develop a programme of works to meet deadlines, avoid penalties, and maintain the critical path.
  • Ensure all works comply with Sureserve procedures.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven project management experience with a track record of delivering programmes and achieving targets.
  • Management and technical expertise.
  • Clear understanding of project targets and an empathetic approach to clients.
  • Supply chain management and experience in delivering large projects.
  • Experience working with computerised systems.

Qualifications:

  • Prince2 Project Management certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • SMSTS 5-day course certification.
  • Valid First Aid certification.
  • Asbestos Awareness Course.
  • Scaffold Inspection Certificate (SITS) CISRS.
  • UK Driving Licence.
