Salary: £24,577.38 - £44,503.69 per year, DOE

Qualified Gas Engineer - The Role

We are seeking a skilled and Qualified Gas Engineer / Plumber to join our dynamic team! This role is ideal for someone with a minimum of 5 years' experience and strong mechanical knowledge. You will play a key role in replacing gas boilers with Air Source Heat Pumps, while ensuring all work complies with current regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

1. Install and replace gas boilers with Air Source Heat Pumps, including all associated pipework, radiators, and fixtures.
2. Carry out repairs and troubleshooting of plumbing systems.
3. Perform welding tasks as required.
4. Collaborate with other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
5. Accurately measure and calculate materials using basic maths.
6. Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
7. Maintain compliance with building codes and health and safety standards.
8. Lift and transport materials and tools as needed.
9. Keep the work environment clean and organised.

Experience & Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in plumbing roles.
• Proven ability to complete installations in residential and/or commercial settings.
• Strong mechanical understanding essential for diagnosing and fixing issues.
• Commercial driving experience advantageous.
• Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Essential Certifications

• Gas Safe certification
• NVQ in Air Source Heat Pump Installation
• CSCS card
• Full UK Driving Licence

Preferred Qualifications

• City & Guilds qualification in a relevant discipline
