Backend Software Engineer / Developer (C# .Net API AWS) Sunderland / WFH to £80k

Are you a Backend Software Engineer with expertise in C# and a good knowledge of AWS?

You could advance your career in a hands-on technical leadership role at a growing games and gambling site, with opportunities for continual learning and skill development.

As a Backend Software Engineer, you'll take a lead, hands-on role in an Agile team developing game engine mechanics into deployable APIs, focusing on scalability and resilience. You'll work across the full software development lifecycle, building highly available applications using technologies such as backend C#, T-SQL, Redis, and AWS.

You will own projects, lead technical discussions and decision-making, and contribute to technology and process improvements.

Location / WFH:

Hybrid work from home policy with 2-3 days a week; when in the office, you'll collaborate with fellow technologists in Sunderland's custom-built offices, which include facilities like free meals at the onsite restaurant and an onsite gym.

About you:

• Strong C# .Net backend development experience
• Experience developing APIs
• Good knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, S3, DynamoDB, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudFormation
• Knowledge of databases like SQL, MySQL, T-SQL, Redis, Couchbase
• Collaborative with excellent communication skills, mentoring, and leadership abilities
