Job Opportunity: Patient Service Assistant (PSA) - Nelson Court Ward 2

An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and caring individual to join our well-established team on Nelson Court Ward 2.

We are looking to appoint Patient Service Assistants (PSA) to join our team on Nelson Court Ward 2, which consists of 20 rehabilitation beds. The ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills, work well within a team, and support the nursing team to deliver high standards of patient-centred care, demonstrating care and compassion.

The successful candidates will work as integrated members of the ward team, guided by local and Trust policies and procedures. They will demonstrate care and compassion while ensuring patients’ needs are met and will have an understanding of Health and Safety protocols within a hospital environment, including Infection Prevention and Control policies.

A key aspect of the role involves supporting patients with their nutritional needs, including assisting with menu completion, and preparing and serving food and drinks during shifts. PSAs will also identify high-risk patients, document allergies and nutritional needs on ward whiteboards, and lead initiatives supporting patient nutrition and hydration.
