Patient Services Assistant | Spire Elland | Part-Time | Permanent | 19.5 hours per week | Competitive Salary and Great benefits

Spire Elland Hospital is seeking a Patient Services Assistant to join our busy catering department. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and make a significant impact.

Spire Elland Hospital, along with our satellite service at Spire Dewsbury Clinic, is a well-established private hospital providing fast access to expert healthcare. We have a multidisciplinary team specializing in a wide range of treatments. Our high-quality accommodation and aftercare demonstrate our commitment to your health and well-being.

Job Purpose

Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean, serve and take orders in the staff dining room, and manage patient food orders.

Overall Responsibilities
  • Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to meet the varying needs related to hotel services.
  • Perform any other duties reasonably within the scope of the role.
  • Complete cleaning tasks according to schedules and procedures.
  • Comply with all Health and Safety regulations, including COSHH.
  • Take and serve orders in the staff dining room.
  • Observe dietary requirements and ensure menu compatibility.
  • Maintain cleanliness and undamaged condition of crockery and cutlery.
  • Wash, dry, and store trays, crockery, cutlery, and glassware.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
  • Return equipment to the main kitchen daily.
  • Replenish stock within the dining area as needed.
Accountabilities/Activities
  • Maintain professionalism and courtesy at all times.
  • Adhere to company policies, including Health & Safety and Data Protection.
  • Complete mandatory training.
  • Build good working relationships with colleagues and promote effective communication and patient care.
