Job description

Job Title: Mobile Library Assistant

Location: Hethersett

Contract: Temporary until 31 March 2026, 25 hours/week, £24,404 p.a. (pro-rata), Scale C

Job Overview

Are you self-motivated, well-organized, and customer-focused? Join the Mobile Library team to help manage the administration and delivery of library services across rural communities in Norfolk.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist with the administration of the Mobile Library and delivery service.
  2. Serve the public via telephone and face-to-face interactions.
  3. Operate the mobile library van occasionally and deliver collections to hospital libraries.
  4. Promote the service through marketing materials and timetables.
Requirements
  1. Ability to work independently and with diverse community groups.
  2. Basic administration skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  3. Valid 'B Class' driving license.
  4. GCSE level education or equivalent.
Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 1pm to 6pm, with flexibility required. Note: Remote working is not permitted.
