Job description

Job Title: Mobile Library Assistant

Reference: 7750 | Contract Type: Temporary until 31 March 2026 | Hours: 25 per week | Salary: £24,404 per annum pro rata (Scale C) | Location: Hethersett

Job Summary

Are you proactive, well-organised, and customer-focused? Join the Mobile Library team to support library services across rural communities in Norfolk.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the administration of the Mobile Library and delivery services.
  2. Interact with the public via telephone and face-to-face interactions.
  3. Serve the public in a mobile library van and deliver collections to hospital libraries.
  4. Assist in producing marketing materials and timetables for the service.
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and with diverse community groups.
  • Good basic administration skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Clean 'B Class' driving licence.
  • GCSE level education or equivalent.
Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 1pm to 6pm, with flexibility required. Please note, remote working is not available for this role.
