An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Port Docker (Stevedore) to join their team in Scotland. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient loading and discharge of vessels, adhering to strict safety regulations. An opportunity has arisen to join the P&O Ferries team in Cairnryan, Scotland as a Port Docker (Stevedore) for a minimum of 25 hours per week.
Working outside as part of a team, this role will work to ensure the safe and efficient loading and discharge of all vessels in order to maintain a safe turn around in line with sailing schedules, ensuring maximum ship fill, without damage to company or customer equipment.
Working to relevant Dock and Harbour and safety rules and regulations, the role will carry out audits on vehicles, assist in controlling the terminal using all available space, and work with shore and ship staff to provide a high quality customer service.
The ideal candidate will hold a H.G.V licence and have experience in driving a range of vehicles with the ability to drive and carry out shackling.
They will have a positive attitude with a proven record in working as part of a team and the ability to work under pressure.
