This position is open to Experienced and Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSW). The starting salary for NQSWs is £34,902 per annum, rising to £37,185 upon successful completion of the ASYE programme.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in mental health social work within our Partnership organisation, promoting standards for Employers of Social Work and participating in initiatives like the Department of Health's Social Work for Better Mental Health and Think Ahead. You will be part of community mental health treatment teams providing secondary mental health services.
As a Social Worker, you will deliver high-quality social care services within the Recovery Wellbeing Community Mental Health Team, contributing to service excellence and continuous improvement in line with ECC's Key Performance Indicators under the Section 75 partnership.
The role requires flexibility, creativity, and a positive attitude, with experience working in a multidisciplinary team and in mental health. Excellent communication skills, proactive approach, and ability to work collaboratively with various professionals are essential. The team includes social workers, nurses, psychologists, OTs, and psychiatrists, providing valuable experience to advance your career.
The team is established and supportive, offering a nurturing environment for Social Workers undertaking their ASYE.

You should be a qualified social worker with current Social Work England registration, experience in mental health and multidisciplinary working, and knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and Care Act. You should be capable of developing strong relationships with partner agencies and the community, and experienced in chairing meetings with clients, families, and professionals.

This role involves travel around Essex and beyond. A valid driving license and access to a vehicle or alternative mobility arrangements are essential.
