About the role

Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a terrific opportunity for a Site Engineer to undertake site engineering control and implementation of works on site, including monitoring and reporting of progress.

What you'll be doing

As a Site Engineer, you will:

  • Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm
  • Support the delivery of CSUK's Sustainability activities
  • Produce Task Briefing Sheets
  • Contribute to the production of Permit to Dig, including workforce briefings
  • Carry out Safety Inspections
  • Set out from primary control provided by others
  • Provide sketches detailing the setting out information installed
  • Read and interpret drawings, schedules, and specifications

Who we're looking for

You will have the following:

  • Ability to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure adherence
  • Capability to take ownership of tasks and communicate outcomes effectively
  • Strong work ethic with flexibility to work unsociable hours/nights
  • Current driving license and CSCS Card
  • Understanding of Permit to Dig System
  • Environmental awareness
  • Proficiency in setting out techniques using level & EDM, plus GPS
