Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a terrific opportunity for a Site Engineer to oversee site engineering control and implementation, including monitoring and reporting progress.

What you'll be doing

As a Site Engineer, you will:

  1. Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm
  2. Support the delivery of CSUK’s Sustainability activities
  3. Produce Task Briefing Sheets
  4. Contribute to the production of Permit to Dig, including workforce briefing
  5. Carry out Safety Inspections
  6. Set out from primary control provided by others
  7. Provide sketches detailing setting out information
  8. Read and interpret drawings, schedules, and specifications

Who we're looking for

You will have the following:

  • Ability to clearly communicate safe work requirements to ensure adherence
  • Ownership of tasks and effective communication of outcomes
  • Strong work ethic with flexibility for unsociable hours/nights
  • Current driving license and CSCS Card
  • Understanding of Permit to Dig System
  • Environmental awareness
  • Experience with setting out techniques – level, EDM, GPS
