Responsibilities:
  1. Raise raw material purchase orders according to the requirements of the ERP.
  2. Send out RFQ to Supplier Base and negotiate price and delivery if necessary.
  3. Identify improvement activities within purchasing/material functions to enhance efficiency, focusing on stock reduction, supplier lead times, and stock availability.
  4. Contribute to departmental objectives and initiatives.
  5. Provide input to production meetings to ensure material availability supporting production needs.
  6. Execute sourcing processes and manage ERP transactions.
  7. Utilize the ERP system effectively to maximize transactional efficiency and minimize costs, adopting and improving best practices.
  8. Participate in business reviews with suppliers and customers to ensure requirements are met.
  9. Support material quotations and other departmental duties as needed.
  10. Address daily challenges proactively.
  11. Work additional hours if required.
Qualifications:
  1. 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing procurement.
  2. Proficient IT skills, including Excel and ERP systems.
  3. Effective teamwork and communication skills within manufacturing, procurement, suppliers, and engineering.
  4. Ability to make decisions and work under tight deadlines.
  5. Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes; engineering experience is advantageous.
  6. Customer-focused with an understanding of internal and external customers.
  7. Proactive, methodical, and systematic approach.
  8. Results-driven with the ability to set and achieve targets.
  9. Approachable and capable of building collaborative relationships.
  10. Ideally a member of CIPS.
  11. GCSEs including Maths and English (A-C).
  12. Knowledge of the company's products and markets is a plus.
