As a Software Engineer III C++ at JPMorgan Chase within the Electronic Market Making group, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for building critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions to support the firm's objectives.

Team Overview:

The Electronic Market Making (EMM) group is responsible for applications that execute and market make listed options and warrants globally. The group designs, implements, and supports trading platforms, collaborating closely with trading desks, business partners, and middle/back-office teams.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions, thinking beyond routine approaches to resolve technical problems.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code; review and debug code written by others.
• Identify opportunities to automate or eliminate recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead communities of practice to promote awareness and adoption of new technologies.
• Collaborate closely with front office teams as a front office developer.
• Work on frameworks, infrastructure, trading engines, and algorithms.
• Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from requirements to testing.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and advanced experience.
• Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Expertise in C++ (C++20).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Risk-averse mindset.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• Experience working in a front office environment within financial services.
