Job description

Job Title: Tractor Driver / Excavator Driver / Heavy Plant Machinery Operator

We are seeking experienced operators for a specialist contracting business involved in the construction and maintenance of sports surfaces.

Their operations are based in Chichester, West Sussex, with sites across Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey, Kent, and London Boroughs.

Responsibilities:

• Operate 360 excavators (2t - 21t)
• Perform sports turf maintenance tasks
• Conduct daily machinery inspections and maintenance
• Repair simple faults and maintain machinery, ideally with workshop skills

Requirements:

• Experience with agricultural machinery, sports turf equipment, and heavy plant machinery
• Full UK driving license and relevant machine tickets
• Willingness to travel, work away, and undertake overtime during busy periods
• Ability to operate a 360 excavator
• Knowledge of agricultural GPS systems

Salary & Benefits:

• Basic salary between £30,000 and £33,000
